TI-Nspire Technology – Operating System Version 1.6 • Battery Life Extension! • More battery indicator levels • TI-Nspire handhelds go into a “deep sleep” mode after 4 days to save battery life when not in use. Operating system on handheld will reboot when the handheld is turned back on. Approximately 70 Days given 2 hours of active use per day

TI-Nspire Technology – Computer Software Automatic Update Notification • All software will now automatically and manually check for updates for: TI-Nspire Computer Software and TI-Nspire CAS Computer Software TI-Nspire Computer Software -Teacher Edition and TI-Nspire CAS Computer Software -Teacher Edition TI-NspireComputer Link and Connect-to-Class Computer Software • Defaults are to auto-check. Software checks for newer versions every time the software is started • Auto-check can be disabled

  5. TI-Nspire Technology – Computer Software Automatic Update Notifications • Manual-Check is still available under help menu if you feel the need to check for yourself!

  6. TI-Nspire Technology – Handheld Operating System Automatic Updates • When you connect a handheld to TI-Nspire Computer Link it will automatically check for Operating System updates for your handheld. Manual check still also available for this.

  8. TI-Nspire Technology – Version 1.6 Updates Graphs & Geometry • Grab and move graphs of f(x) = ax2 + bx + c. The graphs have to be graphed initially in the form of f(x) above for them to be translated in this form. Grab on to the sides of the parabola and the graph can be stretched or compressed vertically and the equation will update in standard form. Grab on to the vertex of a parabola and the graph can be moved up, down, left or right while the equations update in standard form.

TI-Nspire Technology – Version 1.6 Updates Graphs & Geometry • New Point of Interest menu! • When you trace on a graph, you will now get a box in the upper left corner for points of interest on the graph. Make sure that you go to trace settings and click the box for enable calc menu. • The inflection point choice is only on TI-Nspire CAS and will not be identified by just moving the trace point along the graph. Only zeros, minimums, maximums and intersection points can be identified by moving the point along a graph.

You can make the shaded area bigger or smaller by pressing the navigation pad up or down.
