What is AURA? • Users’ Group of Academic Librarians in France: Association des Usagers du Réseau ABES • 150 academic libraries • Decline in statistics (over 50% from1997 to 2006) • Wish to improve ILL & Document Delivery • Study of Resource Sharing in European countries and North America (networks & billing)

Brown sharing with AURA • Focus on philosophy of services, user surveys & expectations, network agreements, costs, marketing strategies & use of technology • ILL (EasyBorrow) & (Document Delivery) • Contributions from colleagues at Brown (Bart, Beth, Bonnie, & Dan) • Value-added services & unmediated borrowing
