Kuliah Minggu ke 7. Fagaceae, Casuarinaceae, Santalaceae, Moraceae. 1. Fagaceae. Pohon, daun tunggal, berseling, stipule gugur. Bunga unisexual, majemuk tak terbatas. Buah nut, dgn biji didukung oleh cupula atau dibungkus oleh involucre yg berduri.

Fagaceae • Pohon, daun tunggal, berseling, stipule gugur. • Bunga unisexual, majemuk tak terbatas. • Buah nut, dgn biji didukung oleh cupula atau dibungkus oleh involucre yg berduri. • Ada 8 marga, tersebar di tropika dan sub-tropika • Contoh jenis: • Castanopsis argentea (saninten) • Castanopsis javanica involucre 3. Quercus sundaica (pasang) atau Lithocarpus sundaica cupula

  3. Di daerah sub-tropika: • Castanea sp. • Fagus sp. • Quercus sp. -kayu -buah chestnut

  4. Buah saninten • Buah pasang • Buah cemara involucre (a) (c ) (c ) (b) (b) (b) cupula

  5. Buah pasang (Lithocarpus palidus)

  6. Saninten (C.argentea)

  7. Buah saninten yg sudah tua (Cibodas)

  8. Chestnut buah Castanea sp. (di Perancis)

  9. 2.Casuarinaceae • Pohon, ranting hijau, daun tereduksi menjadi berbentuk sisik, 4-16 daun per buku, berkarang. • Bunga unisex, majemuk, tanpa perianth. • Buah mrp kumpulan buah kecil, spt buah kerucut, biji keras bersayap. • Hanya satu marga (monogeneric), yaitu marga Casuarina Contoh jenis: • Casuarina sumatrana (cemara sumatra) • C. equisetifolia (cemara laut) • C. junghuhniana (cemara gunung) • C. nobilis (cemara kalimantan) Kegunaan: - tanaman peneduh - tanaman hias estetika tajuk

Santalaceae • Pohon, kayu beraroma harum. • Daun tunggal, helaian tipis, opposite. • Bunga kecil, bisex., beraturan. • Buah batu • Contoh jenis: Santalum album (cendana) • Tumbuh baik di daerah iklim kering (tipe iklim D, E, F) di wil. NTT (P. Timor, P. Roti, P. Flores) • Aroma kayu sangat dipengaruhi faktor lingkung- an (tanah dan CH) • Untuk: ukiran, kipas, minyak cendana

Moraceae • Pohon, bergetah putih • Daun tunggal, berseling, stipule mudah rontok dg meninggalkan bekas (kunat cincin). • Bunga kecil, unisex, majemuk, ada yg terkurung di dlm dasar bunga berbentuk kendibuah semu (pd marga Ficus). • Buah tunggal (nut, drupe) atau buah majemuk. • Anggota 53 marga, di daerah tropika

Marga Artocarpus • Artocarpus heterophyllus(nangka, jackfruit) • A. integer(cempedak) • A. elastica(terap), kulit btg sbg bahan tas koja (Baduy) • A. altilis(sukun, breadfruit) • A. communis(keluwih) 2. Marga Morus • Morus alba(murbei, mulberry) daun sbg pakan ulat sutera (silkworms)

Marga Ficus -ratusan jenis Ficus -tersebar luas di hutan tropika -buah semu (fig) sbg sumber pakan satwa -berperilaku sbg pencekik (strangler) -budaya masyarakat Jawa Contoh jenis : • Ficus benjamina (beringin) • Ficus deltoidea (tabat barito) sbg tmbh obat • Ficus religiosa (Bodi, Bunut merah) • Buah Tin (di kawasan Mediterania, mis. Ficus carica, Fico di Italia)
