Blood • Blood Drive: • The Homecoming Blood Drive will be a four-day event held in the Mizzou’sHearnes Center Fieldhouse during the following dates and times: • Monday, Oct. 3, 2011: 11am- 7pm • Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2011: 11am- 7pm • Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2011: 11am- 7pm • Thursday, Oct. 6, 2011: 11 am- 7pm • There will be no Deferral Day

  3. Blood • Blood Liaison Meeting: • The first Blood Liaison Meeting will be held directly after the Homecoming liaison meeting at 7pm on September 8, 2011

  4. Blood • Homecoming & Blood Donation Information Session: • The Information session hosted by Homecoming Steering Committee and the American Red Cross will be held the evening of Monday, September 26, 2011 in Jesse Auditorium • The sessions will last approximately 20 minutes and each organization and grouping’s time is TBD

  5. Blood Last Year’s Point Breakdown for Attempted Donations: Full Possible Points (105%) 40% Community Donors 65% of Grouping’s Donors

  6. Blood This year in order to receive full points for attempted donations, we have consolidated the two categories into a simplified 100% of your grouping or organization. This way every member of your grouping or organization can be responsible for one attempted donation whether it be themselves or someone outside of their respected organization or grouping.

  7. Campus Decorations • Pomp Boards: • Pomp pick up will take place after this meeting. It will be in the first floor conference room. • Prelim sketches are due next week! Include all materials, dimensions, and proposed location. • Don’t forget to incorporate an interactive audience activity into your campus decs either in skit or freestanding object

Campus Decorations • Dimensions: • Cannot be more than 16’ high and 32’ wide • No more than 10’ deep • 16 board maximum, 50% pomping maximum • Site locations are due September 15, send your request in as soon as possible to assure your spot. • Electricity contract is due next week as well. • Questions?   9. Campus Relations • Residence Halls: • Please contact your student staff to see if they would like a pre-made bulletin boards. • If they are interested in pre-made bulletin boards please email us at umchomecomingproject@missouri.edu

  10. Campus Relations • Organizations: • If you want us to present to your organization on how you can get involved in homecoming this year please email us at. umchomecomingproject@missouri.edu

Merchandise • Merchandise Orders: • Order forms are provided to you in the rulebook. • September 12th Residential Hall order forms due to hall desks • September 15th Residential Hall and Greek grouping order forms due at liaison meeting. • Greek groupings will turn in hard copies of order forms and payment • Residential Halls will turn in electronic file order – students can only pay by student charge • September 22nd Campus Organization order forms due at liaison meeting.

  12. Merchandise • Sunday, September 25th merchandise will be distributed. Each organization will be assigned a different pick up time at a later date. • The Centennial Homecoming Ornament is the featured item and is available on all order forms. • Spirit Day will be October 7th. Students wearing the Centennial Homecoming apparel on campus will be celebrated and rewarded.

  13. Parade • Important dates: • Entry form DUE September 23rd, 2011 • Entries capped at 125 • Can assist with location • Sketches DUE September 29th, 2011 • Materials list and labeled sketch • Core Committee assistance

Public Relations • Rulebooks: Rulebooks will be distributed today! • This year we will have 3 different Rule Books. • Karee Hackel - Greek Community • Sami Jo Freeman - Student Organizations. • Liz Sartorius - Residence Halls. • Liaison Meeting: • 1st meeting is Thursday, September 1st in Memorial Union S203

  15. Public Relations Banner: • All organizations are encouraged to get involved in the banner competition. • Banners are to go up October 3rd • Banners will be judged October 4th. • We are working hard to find a central location to display the banners for the organizations.

  16. Service • Tiger Food Fight: • Canned Food Drive • Friday, September 30th • 10am-3pm • Drop Off Times • Student Center

  17. Service • Tigers Taming Hunger: • Volunteers encouraging local grocery store customers to make donations • Create signs and posters to promote Homecoming to the Columbia community • First Two Weekends in October • Specific Times TBA

  18. Service • Centennial Service Day: • The Kick Off to Homecoming • Working on Campus with Campus Facilities • Saturday, October 1st • 9 AM Check In

  19. Talent • Select your directors! • The first directors' meeting is • -NEXT WEDNESDAY, Aug 31 at 8 PM in Chambers Auditorium. • IBA/National Anthem sign-ups will be Sept 12-15. • -Try-outs will be on Sunday, Sept 18.

Traditions • Royalty: • $25 application fee per applicant • Number of Applicants: • Greek Grouping: Maximum 3 applicants per chapter • Maximum 6 applicants per grouping • Residence Halls: Maximum 3 applicants per Res Hall • Orgs: Maximum 3 applicants per org • Number of points you receive is determined by the single candidate in your group that advances farthest

Traditions • Where to find the Application: • www.mizzou.com/homecoming under the royalty tab • 123 Reynolds Alumni center • Dates to Remember: • Applications are DUE FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 9TH BY 5 PM TO 123 REYNOLDS ALUMNI CENTER • All applicants will receive a first round interview • Signups for interviews will be available on MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 12TH IN 123 REYNOLDS ALUMNI CENTER • Requirements of Top 10 Royalty: • Be present at numerous mandatory homecoming events • Time commitment • All mandatory events listed on application
