  3. Monday, September 14, 2009. Brussels 09.30 Opening session.Université Libre de Bruxelles, Salle Dupreel. Madame Laruelle, Belgian Federal Minister for Science Policy, opens the Space week 2009 with astronauts and VIP’s. p.m. ‘Université Libre de Bruxelles’ (ULB) and ‘Vrije Universiteit Brussel’ (VUB) Auditorium P.E. Janson (1400 pl.) Theme: ” Space research” With astronauts and scientists Night: Welcome dinner. Restaurant St. Guidon (RSC Anderlecht) with winners of the CSC contest and guests.

  4. Tuesday, September 15, 2009: Technopolis Mechelen • 10-16.00: Interactive workshop. Theme: Rockets Educational trip through the ‘Space’ exhibition Dynamic question and informative sessions • 18.00: Round table with astronauts • 19.00: Symposium with presentations by astronauts and members of the Royal Flemish Society of Engineers (KVIV) and University Antwerp.

Wednesday, September 16, 2009: Liège and Transinne • a.m. University of Liège (ULg)Academic sessions with secondary school students designed to promote interest in space science and education. 600 seats • p.m. Euro Space Center Transinne Meet with 500 primary school students (11-12 years). Theme: Manned space flights. With Patrice Goldberg Video and/or ARISS contact with Frank De Winne

  6. Thursday, September 17, 2009 : Gent • Fair Accenta: Flanders Expo Gent from 12 to 20 September 2009. A village (3000 m2) is planned with theme : space travel and other research • Day of the youth: On 17 September pupils and students will be invited in Flanders Expo for a special ‘space day’ with direct contact with Frank De Winne aboard the ISS. Several educational and fun elements will illustrate the event. The aim is to invite approximately 4000 young people. • Evening: Dynamic debate wit all astronauts, scientists and managers (500 persons).

  7. Friday September 18, 2009 Leuven • a.m. Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KU Leuven) Theme: Master of Space Studies. With professors of KU Leuven, U Gent and the Space industry (IMEC) public: 400 secondary school students (16-18 y)
