PDCA CQI CIRCLE • PLAN • Define a problem or opportunity • Analyze the situation. • Brainstorm for causes & corrective actions. • Think creatively towards the best approach. • Develop an implementation plan. • DO • Implement corrective action • Document the procedures & observations. • Use data gathering tools to collect information. • ACT • If the results are as expected, do nothing. • If the results are not as expected, repeat the PDCA circle • Document the process and the revised plan • CHECK • Analyze information • Monitor trends • Compare obtained results # expected results.
