  2. In some instances, yes.

  3. If citizenship was acquired through misrepresentation, it can be revoked.

  4. Sometimes applicants may be less than honest about their time spent in Canada satisfying the residency requirement for citizenship.

  5. If this later comes to light, an applicant risks losing his or her citizenship.

  6. Applicants also must disclose past criminal behaviour.

  7. If serious past criminal behaviour is ever proven, an applicant may lose his or her citizenship if this was not disclosed when the applicant was applying for citizenship.
