The Masterpieces of Claude Monet GardenatGiverny
Claude Monet was born on November 14, 1840 in Paris, France. In his early life, his father wanted him to go into the family grocery store business. But Monet wanted to be an artist. In 1851, we went to an art school. He became known for doing charcoal caricatures that he sold for 5 to 10 francs. Claude Monet is the founder of French Impressionist painting. The name of his art form, Impressionism, comes from the name of one of Monet’s works of art. This type of art is known for its use of visible brushstrokes, emphasis on light, ordinary subject matter (nature), movement, and unusual visual angles. Self-Portrait, 1886
