aTa Ridership—by the Numbers The demand for service has increased by 65.26% in the just the last two years!! In 2008 aTa Bus served a record 685 unique individuals aTa Bus anticipates serving 747 unique individuals by the end 2009
aTa Ridership—by the Numbers • In 2008, aTa Bus provided 30,969 rides • Today, aTa Bus is providing 145.54 rides/day (that’s 36,385 rides per year!)

Next Steps…. KDOT has approved $60,000 to fund the “Transit Plan” update The City of Manhattan will contribute $15,000 to fund the update The update will begin later this year
Next Steps…. • Riley County aTa has been approved for $520,000 in Stimulus funding • 5-20 passenger buses w/ lifts ($325,000) • $135,000 State of the art Dispatching equipment, including mobile data terminals, software and radio equipment • $60,000 for bus stops and shelters for Manhattan and Ogden
This Year’s Budget Request . . . • For 2010, aTa Bus is requesting $90,000 • aTa Bus plans to implement two citywide fixed routes • From 2007 to today, aTa Bus has grown from 90.4 to 145.5 rides per day • Fixed routes are… • The most cost effective way to deliver public transportation • The most efficient way to meet growing demand for public transportation
