Details of contingent planning during Rabi 2011-12 to meet the deficient production of Pulses during Kharif 2011 a) Through area expansion of Rabi Pulses: The area of Rabi Pulses in Gujarat is 1.89 lakh ha. (Average of year 2007-08 to 2009-10). It was goes up to 2.21 lakh last year i.e.,2010-11. We planned 2.63 lakh ha. For forthcoming rabi season of 2011-12, if last rainfall received satisfactorily.

  6. b) Additional are under IPM in pigeon pea: * The area covered under IPM last year is 13000 ha. * Planning to cover area under IPM this year is 900 ha. c) Additional are under certified seeds distribution: * Seed distribution under certified seeds last year is 15398.00 quintals that covers 0.77 lakh ha area. * Planning to cover area under certified seed distribution during 2011-12 is 20000 quintals that covers 1.0 lakh ha area.

  8. Progress of Pulses Production Schemes 5.2) Physical and Financial progress of A3P during Kharif 2011 The Block Demonstration under A3P are as per the following table: b. INM / IPM packages are finalized in concern with SAU’s and circulated to the Districts and distribution is under process. c. Seed Minikits are supplied to the farmers.

  10. 5.4) Physical and Financial progress of e-pest surveillance under A3P during Kharif 2011 Guidelines are circulated to the Districts. Deputation of master trainers / scouts is under process. 5.6) Scheme-wise reason of less achievements in pulses programme, if any.. On set of monsoon in Gujarat was very late (At the end of July). Work under most of interventions started during August month so progress will be reflect in next month MPR
