We will provide time and instructions on what to write, but we cannot check 60+trackers every day. Parents, please monitor your child’s tracker and reward them for using it as you see fit.
Homework & Wednesday Folder • Homework Folder • Goes home daily with their Expectation card. • Wednesday Folder • Goes home every Wednesday and contains graded papers and parent information such as lunch menus, school newsletter, updated school information, etc. Graded papers are yours to keep and should be removed from the folder each Wednesday. Please go through you child’s work and return any papers that require a parent signature. All items that need a signature should be returned to school each Thursday.
Incentives • The teachers like to recognize great behavior in a variety of ways in order to appeal to the widest range of students. • Each child will be given a “Punch Card” that is punched for behaviors such as being on task, helping another student, participating in class, accepting a challenge, volunteering to do a job in class, random acts of kindness, etc. • The Punch Card will be redeemed at the end of the grading period. Other positive reinforcements include verbal praise, stickers, and public recognition of their successes and achievements.
Important Notes: • Transportation changes require a note from a parent! Teachers cannot accept e-mails for transportation changes. • Please replenish school supplies (glue sticks, paper and pencils) as needed throughout year. • Deliveries-If you need to deliver something to the front office for your student, the deadline is 10am. • Oops! I forgot something at school – What do I do? Your student may come back to collect whatever they forgot as long as the teacher is still in the classroom. This is a grade level decision. • Birthday treats-The District is asking you to send individually wrapped treats to celebrate your child’s birthday. Please be mindful of our classmates with food allergies. **Please NO Cookie Cakes.
