  1. Mess of the Iraq War The Iraq invasion started off well but quickly went downhill. Things got much worse before they started to get better

  2. US and Civilian Deaths There is a big discrepancy between the actual amount of soldiers killed and the amount that is released to the public. This just displays another way that the government keeps the civilians in the dark about the War.

  3. Cost of the War • 3 trillion dollars is the conservative estimate of what the war will cost. This is after all the hidden fees in the budget such as money to help future veterans, to refurbish depleted equipment, and money to compensate for soldier deaths and injuries. • By the end of the war an estimated 1 trillion dollars will be added to the national debt • The war has had a great hand in Helping to deteriorate the American economy

  4. deBa’athifacation • The process of removing members of the Bath party from the military and civil office after the fall of Saddam Hussein • This created a few problems; one was that it put thousands of skilled Iraqi persons out of a job deeply hurting the Iraq economy. Another was that many people in the Bath party were not loyal to Saddam, they were only there for a stable job and education or out of fear. When the U.S. cast them out it created many enemies against the U.S. occupation

  5. State of Iraq • Millions of people are either dead or without homes due to the bombings and violence • Many families have no source of income and are not able to feed themselves • As of 2006 the first permanent government of Iraq was put in place. • Slowly but surely the right steps are being taken
