  4. Scenario A lady aged 65 years living in Holbrook, who is a paraplegic and cannot get out of her wheelchair. The lady has full strength in her arms and upper body but cannot move her legs or stand up. She needs a personalised wheelchair that is made for tennis and is easier to move around. The town is so isolated that the lay has to travel 76km for the nearest wheelchair repair or provider store.

  5. modifications • Paraplegia presents many barriers for physical activity. Some include: • Having to play a sport that is non contact • Have to choose less physically demanding sports • they need to find sports where other people with the same disability • there needs to be the equipment provided for this sport

  6. Equipment • A specially designed wheelchair • Tennis court • Tennis racquet • Partner to play with • Net • Balls • Sunscreen • Hat • Shoes
