  2. General Ministries– 100 • DHM - this Unit is committed to connecting and strengthening congregations and leaders to make a difference in the world. Emphasis on congregational life and vitality, leadership development and Christian vocations. Disciples Women are in partnership with DHM. • What is Disciples Home Missions? Back to Board

  3. General Ministries- 200 • DOM - In partnership with the United Church of Christ, enables Disciples to share in effective and wide ranging ministries of evangelism, witness and service around the world. • What is Division of Overseas Ministries? Back to Board

  4. General Ministries - 300 • CCU - Founded in 1910, this Unit is charged with working for the unity of God’s fragmented church and world within Disciples and the entire ecumenical movement. • What is Council on Christian Unity? Back to Board

General Ministries – 400 • DHS - Located in Nashville, this Unit is responsible for keeping the church’s archives, fostering community of historians, providing historical resources, fostering understanding within the Stone-Campbell Movement, and interpreting that Movement to others • What is Disciples Historical Society?   6. General Ministries – 500 • NBA - The social and health services division of the church. Located in St. Louis, this Unit operates facilities and programs which provide services to neglected and abused children, mentally challenged adults, and older persons. • What is National Benevolent Association?   7. Organizations - 100 • DMF - The budget and funding process for the entire denomination. Administered by the Treasury Department in the Office of General Minister and President. • What is Disciples Mission Fund? Back to Board

  8. Organizations - 200 • This instrumentality provides a forum for issues related to the African American church life and works towards strengthening African American congregations’ involvement in the total mission of the church. • What is National Convocation? Back to Board

  9. Organizations – 300 • DPF - A fellowship of people who believe that war is “pagan, futile and destructive of the values for which the Christian faith stands.” Membership is by subscription. • What is Disciples Peace Fellowship? Back to Board

Organizations - 400 • NAPAD – Under the guidance of Jinsuk Chun, Executive Pastor, this office provides leadership, support, education and bi-annual assembly opportunities to a diverse constituency of Asian cultures and traditions. • What is North American Pacific/Asian Disciples?   11. Organizations - 500 • CWS – The ecumenical arm for 36 Protestant and Orthodox denominations supporting programs of self-help development, disaster response, and refugee services in more than 80 countries. • What is Church World Service? Back to Board

  12. Women’s Organizations - 100 • IDWM - The organization is governed by an Executive Committee elected for a four year term at each Quadrennial Assembly. By virtue of membership in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), all women in the United States and Canada are members of IDWM. • What is International Disciples Women’s Ministries?   14. Women’s Organizations - 300 • CWU - A grassroots national organization of Protestant, Orthodox and (in some places) Roman Catholic Women. World Day of Prayer in the United States is managed and directed by CWU. • What is Church Women United? Back to Board

  17. Programs - 100 • QA: A gathering of Disciples women held every four years over a five day period. Open to all women in the church, this event has been described as a “cross between a revival, camp and a family reunion.” • What is Quadrennial Assembly? Back to Board

  18. Programs - 200 • WWW - A program which puts North American women in personal contact with women in other countries around the world. • What is the Woman-to-Woman Worldwide? Back to Board

  19. Programs - 300 • A leadership development program designed to train regional Disciples Women’s leaders grouped according to regions. • What is an “Inter-Regional”? Back to Board

  20. Programs - 400 • DWEF – Established in 1990 as Women’s Endowment Fund (WEF) to give women the opportunity to contribute to a permanent fund that benefits the work of women in the church. The fund is administered by the Christian Church Foundation (CCF) with promotion and grant distribution oversight administered by Disciples Women staff. • What is Disciples Women’s Endowment Fund? Programs - 500 • WAW – Week-longevent took place bi-annually and involved a week-long traveling experience somewhere in North America to visit and learn about hands-on mission supporting local communities. Potpourri - 100 • UCC - A denomination formed from Evangelical, Reformed, Congregational and Christians (those who did not sign on with Campbell and Stone in 1832) who are in partnership (mutual recognition of ministry, mission, and members) with Disciples. • What is the United Church of Christ?   23. Potpourri - 200 • The official resource of Disciples Women in the form of a quarterly magazine published for Disciples Women by Disciples Women’s Ministries. • What is Just Women? Back to Board

  24. Potpourri - 300 • An over and above offering to the church’s outreach ministries, a portion of which supports women’s ministries through IDWM. • What are blessing boxes? Back to Board

  25. Potpourri - 400 • GWC – this organization is comprised of women from churches around the world who are affiliated with the Stone-Campbell movement. • What is Global Women Connecting? Back to Board
