  1. Discussion Session on LiPb specifications and LiPb/T data • 1 – LiPb/Tritium data depend strongly on LiPb composition (% atoms of Li, real eutectic?) and on the presence of some impurities (which ones?) • Before validate (nationally and internationally) we need to specify %atoms Li and acceptable impurities and their maximum level  specifications • We need to apply such specifications systematically: “geographically” (i.e. all laboratories) and “temporarily” (from now throughout all future years)  quality assurance on results  Proposed actions: 1) EU prepares and distributes the specifications (by Sept.15) 2) Comments, possible counter-proposals from other interested Parties (by Oct. 2 at ISFNT-8) 3) Following discussion reach of a final agreement  “Reference” LiPb (by end 2007) Agreement on actions and planning? Need also to define experimental methods and procedures for checking “specifications”…

  2. Discussion Session on LiPb specifications and LiPb/T data • 2 – Significant uncertainties are present on the value of the Sievert constant, many performances of LiPb blankets depend on this value, therefore uncertainties have to be significantly reduced (and understood) • Proposal of launching an International Benchmark on the measurement of the Sievert constant at different fixed Tritium partial pressures (3?) to be specified and agreed (possible in this Workshop?). • Experiment should be done using the Reference LiPb and possible with Tritium (to be able to measure it at very low T-concentrations)  Proposed actions: > All Parties interested in LiPb blankets should participate to this experimental benchmark 1) Preliminary discussions in this meeting and identification of the Party who should make a detailed proposal of benchmark by the end of 2007 2) Comments from other interested Parties and agreement on the benchmark description (by Spring 2008) 3) All Parties perform the experiment, results comparison and assessment of the results by a group of experts by Spring 2009  Definition of the reference value Agreement on actions and planning? (Afterwards, other experiments could be shared)
