  1. Introduction Do you want to see the water cycle in action? In the Magic School Bus series Wet All Over, Ms. Frizzle takes the class on a field trip through the water cycle. Join Ms. Frizzle and the gang as they research and learn about the components of the water cycle.

  2. Task • Just like Arnold and Wanda, you will be giving a report. Instead of the town waterworks, you will be reporting on the water cycle. As you watch the video, you will need to keep track of the process it takes for water to go through the water cycle. Afterwards, you will complete research about each step.

  3. Process • Before you begin your research, answer the following question: what happens to puddles after it rains? • Do you know where your local water works plant is located? Click the link below to take a virtual tour of a waterworks plant. • http://www.rebuildtheplant.org/go/doc/1823/258436

  4. Process • Now that you have learned about evaporation, you are ready to do some research. Ms. Frizzle has evaporated the class. Choose one of the links below to find more information about how evaporation can happen. • http://www.kidsgeo.com/geography-for-kids/0102-evaporation.php • http://sciencewithme.com/where-has-all-of-the-water-gone/

  5. Process • Now that you have learned about evaporation, you are ready to do some research. Ms. Frizzle and the class have turned into cloud! Click the link below to research the different types of clouds. • http://www.weatherwizkids.com/weather-clouds.htm

  6. Process • Oh no! Ms. Frizzle and the gang have fallen out the sky as precipitation! Do some research on the different types of precipitation that Ms. Frizzle and the class could come down as. • http://education.nationalgeographic.com/education/encyclopedia/precipitation/?ar_a=5

  7. Process • Congrats! You made it through the water cycle! But Ms. Frizzle takes the gang through it again. Why?! • Would you want to be in a class with Ms. Frizzle? Why? • Where would you want your next field trip to be?

  8. Conclusion • You have done a great job! There is so much more to learn about the water cycle. There are many books in the library that can help you, just ask Mrs. Mason.
