  1. My Dream Job To Be a Journalist

  2. So yes, my dream job is to work at Entertainment Weekly as a movie critic. But the thing is, that is a pretty prestigious job and I’m going to have to work my way to the top to be able to get here. So I took a look on Time Warner’s website to look at Internships and I found one that seemed pretty interesting…

  3. Another job that I always thought would be fun would be to work at CNN. I took the tour last summer of the studio in Atlanta, GA and loved what I saw. The tour actually sparked an interest in TV journalism. So, what a better way to spend a summer than doing something you love? In my search I found a summer internship at CNN that is something that I think I would love to be involved in when I get to college.

  4. Where is the job located? • The Internship takes place during the summer in New-York, New-York (a city I absolutely LOVE)! • The job lasts 12 weeks from June 4th to August 24th

  5. How much money is earned? • Workers are paid at minimum-wage

  6. What skills are required? • Candidates should be seeking a career in journalism • Candidates should be self-motivated, detail-oriented, able to multi-task, have a good attitude, and be able to function well in an environment with short deadlines and quick turnaround projects.

  7. What level of education/expirence is required? • Students must have completed their sophomore year of college prior to the internship • Must have a GPA of at least a 3.0 • The website does not give specifics on prior expirence except for stating academic and skill requirements

  8. Link to the Site • https://careers.timewarner.com/1033/ASP/TG/cim_jobdetail.asp?partnerid=391&siteid=36&jobid=613754

  9. Where to go from there? • Who knows what kind of door will open after an internship with CNN • Maybe a job at the company writing or broadcasting news will open up and perhaps after some years of expirence with Time Warner…I can make my way to Entertainment Weekly
