  10. We Believe: In the verbal inspiration of the Bible. In one God eternally existing in three persons; namely the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost. That Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of the Father, conceived of the Holy Ghost, and born of the Virgin Mary. That Jesus was crucified, buried and raised from the dead; that He ascended to Heaven and is today at the right hand of the Father as Intercessor. The bible says that “all have sinned and come short of the glory of God” and that repentance for all is necessary for forgiveness of sins. That justification, regeneration and the new birth are wrought by faith in the blood of Jesus Christ. Declaration of Faith 1
  11. We Believe: In sanctification, subsequent to the new birth through faith in the blood of Jesus Christ, through the Word, and by the Holy Ghost. Holiness to be God’s standard of living for his people. In the baptism of the Holy Ghost subsequent to a clean heart. In speaking in tongues as the spirit gives utterance and that it is the initial evidence of the baptism of the Holy Ghost. In water baptism by immersion and all that repent should be baptized in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost and in Jesus Name to fulfill all scriptures. Declaration of Faith 2
  12. We Believe: Divine healing is provided for all in the atonement. In the Lord’s Supper and washing of the saints’ feet. In the pre-millennial second coming of Jesus, first to resurrect the righteous dead and to catch the living saints to Him in the air; second to reign on earth a thousand years. In the bodily resurrection, eternal life for the righteous and the eternal punishment for the wicked. Declaration of Faith 3
  13. The scripture declares in Habakkah: 2:1-3: I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved. And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that read it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie; though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. Shiloh Temple Tabernacle of Prayer mission is to see souls saved and to make disciples of those that assemble with us. 15. WORSHIP SERVICES: Every service is preceded with one hour of prayer proving service beginning at 8:00 pm. The prayer will begin at 7:00 pm prompt and everyone will pray together for one hour prior to the start of the service except Sunday mornings. Attendance at every service is encouraged and special emphasis is placed on Sunday school and Bible Study attendance. BUSINESS MEETINGS: Prior to every business meeting which will be held at he discretion of the Pastor, the scripture Matthew 18:5 should be read. DISCIPLINE: Pastor shall handle all discipline actions when needed. BABY DEDICATIONS: The Pastor will carry out all dedications on the First Sunday in every month, unless otherwise designated. Children of unmarried women will be dedicated in the Pastor’s study: others will be held in the church. We asked that the Executive Office be notified one month prior to any dedications. BAPTISMS: Baptism is very important in the believer’s life. It is one of the sacraments of the church and is the responsibility of every believer to be baptized. Baptism is a symbol of cleansing and Jesus as our example was baptized. Baptism services will be held as often as the Pastor designates. All baptisms is in the Name of the Father, the Name of the son, the Name of the Holy Ghost and in Jesus Name according to the scriptures Matthew 28:19 & Acts 2:38. LAYMEMBERS CONDUCT: All members’ first responsibility is to be OBEDIENT to God first then to Pastor then Leadership. Hebrews 13:17 “Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you”. DRESS CODE: All members are to require to dress becoming holiness with modest apparel. Pastor asked if women would not wear pants and men would not wear shorts in the sanctuary. Catnedral order and protocol
  16. COMMUNION AND FEET WASHING: Communion is held once a month at the discretion of the Pastor. During communion, the women will wear white and the men will wear black or dark suits, white shirts, dark ties, and dark shoes. The scriptural references for these services will be 1 Corinthians 11:23-34, for the communion and John 13:1-17, for the feet washing services. Our communion and Feet Washing services will be held on the first Sunday following Morning Worship. All members are required to participate. COURTING: Scripture reference: Hebrews 13:4 “Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge”. 1 Corinthians 7:8-9 “I say therefore to the unmarried and widows, it is good for them if they abide even as I. But if they cannot contain, let them (marry, not court) for it is better to marry than to burn”. The Pastor will teach on courting and dating. THE SUPPORT OF THE CHURCH: Tithes and offerings are the support of the ministries. Malachi 3:8-12 “Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Where in have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation. Bring ye all of the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts. And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the Lord of hosts”. Luke 6:38 “Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again”. Cathedral order and protocol
  17. Note: The reason why we do not support the church by selling food or having baby contests, lottery, bingo, raffles or any such thing is not supported by scripture: Matthew 21:12-13 THE HOLY GHOST: The promises outlined in the Word of God are for you when you received Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, you become an heir to all the promises. One of the promises is the Holy Ghost. When you received Christ as your personal Savior, the Holy Spirit drew you to him. But, there is an even greater experience of the Holy Spirit, which is distinct from salvation. This is referred to in the scriptures as the baptism and indwelling of the Holy Ghost. (Acts 1:8) You can receive this blessed experience the same way you received salvation-ask for Him, and then begin to praise God receiving the Holy Ghost. When you ask, believe that God will give you the Holy Ghost with the same faith you had when you asked Jesus to save your souls! Then begin to praise God for the Holy Spirit with all of your strength and heart and the manifestation that you have received this precious promise is that you will begin to speak in tongues according to scriptures. (Acts 2:4-8 & 10:44-48) SANCTIFICATION: Sanctification is to set apart, or to withdraw from a sinful world as a partaker. Now that you have cleaned your life according to the Word of God, smoking, drinking alcohol, drugs and other things; and now live a clean life in preparation for the Holy Ghost to indwell your life. (1 Corinthians 7:1) SALVATION: Salvation is attained the moment man believes with the heart and confesses with his mouth the Lord Jesus as Christ. Romans 10:9 ACKNOWLEDGE: One must first acknowledge the fact that he or she is a sinner and are in need of a Savior. (Romans 3:23) REPENT: After realizing that you need a Savior, you should ask the Lord to forgive you of all your sins before you can reach Him in prayer for anything else. True repentance means that you are Godly sorry, and sorry enough that you will never sin again knowingly. (Luke 13:3) Cathedral order and protocol
  18. CONFESS: Confession to Jesus about all of the things you have done contrary to His will and His Word. God already knows but He wants us to acknowledge our sins, name them out with our mouth. Once this is done, he declares in His Word that He will not only forgive us, but also then cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9) FORSAKE: To forsake is a part of our repentance because true repentance is to forsake, to give up and never return to that which has previously separated us from a loving God. (Isaiah 55:7) BELIEVE: We must believe then that Christ died for our sins and that His Love caused Him to shed His own blood to be atonement for us. (John 3:16) RECEIVE: After you have completed the above five steps in your heart, then by faith, believe that Jesus has saved you and received him into your heart as your Lord, Master and Personal Savior. (John 1:11-12; Revelation 3:20; and Matthew 11:28-30) Cathedral order and protocol
  19. SIGNIFICANCE OF COLORS GOLD: In the Old and New Testament, we find that gold speaks to us of Divine Nature, the Glory of God and God the Father. SILVER: This precious metal speaks to us of Redemption, the atonement, Ransom, and God the Son. This is best illustrated in the price paid for the betrayal of Christ who was our ransom. BRASS: The metal symbolizes strength, judgment against sin, and Godthe Holy Spirit. God t ells us that if we do not listen to his voice that the heavens will be as brass (Deuteronomy 28:13-23), which is the judgment of God on man. BLACK: The color that represents servitude and humility. WHITE: The color that represents purity and cleanliness. PURPLE: This was the most precious of colors in ancient times and represents royalty and kingship.Purple would best describe the Gospel of Matthew which deals with the King and his Kingdom. Jesus is the only rightful heir to the throne of David (Luke 1:30-33). RED/ SCARLET: The color of sacrificial blood. Jesus is the Lamb of God: our Sacrifice. He came to minister to man. Mark’s Gospel is Demonstrative of Jesus’ ministry as God’s servant and God’s Son. FINE TWINE AND LINEN: This is the representation of Jehovah Tsidkenu: “Lord our Righteousness”. It represents the righteousness of the saints (Revelations 19:7-8). Jesus is the righteous man whom is pictured in the Gospel of Luke. Cathedral order and protocol
