  1. Warm-up Warm-up: Copy down the following sentences and fix the errors. You can re-word the sentence if you want and take things out if need be. Answer (don’t copy) number five and six. • There are examples throughout the play of Macbeth having absolutely no control of his own fate; and of Macbeth having freewill of his own destiny. • Macbeth makes false appearances and Macduff makes the most important one of all; also the appearance of what is really in front of the characters and what is not. • On the night of the murder, Macbeth sees a floating dagger but cannot decide if it is real or his imagination. “Is this a dagger which I see before me, the handle toward my hand?” (2.2.33-39). • He sees Banquo’s ghost and proclaims. “Quit my sight! Let the earth hide thee!” (3.4.93.96). • Answer this question: What is the difference between affect and effect? • List the personal pronouns.

Examples: Re-write and Correct the Following • He wanted to not stay and instead to quickly escape the building. • He wouldn’t have had to brutally kill Lady Macduff if Maduff didn’t run away. • Banquodid not let what anyone else say affect the way in which he was going to truly live his life.

Writing Reflection • “Summarize Teacher Feedback” • Write at least five things (not necessarily all negative) that I have noted about your writing. • Think about grammar errors circled, comments made, places where you were deducted points on your rubrics, and whole-group feedback that I have given. • This can be bullet points. • “Student Reflection” • Write a paragraph stating your strengths and weaknesses of your writing. What do you struggle with most, and how can you improve?
