  2. СИГ WHITEFISH Valuable commercial species, its populationubiquitously decreases. Maximum length is 68cm. Maximum weight is 3 kg Habitat: Inhabits almost all water areasof the Arctic Ocean basin. Diet: Feeds on chironomid larvae, stonefly larvae,mayfly larvae, insects, caviar and small fish. Species protection in nature: Volkhov and Bauntovskywhitefish listed in the Red Book of Endangered Species of the Russian Federation. 68 3 кг

  3. ПЕЛЯДЬ PELED Freshwater fish, type of whitefish. It hascommercial significance, can also be bred artificially. Maximum length of body 55 cm. Maximum weight 3 kg. Habitat:Inhabits the rivers ofthe Arctic Ocean basin, from Mezen to Kolyma. Diet: Feeds on crustaceans.

  6. Each basin of fish hatching department is equiped with automated feeder managed through programming. Capacity of plant allows to grow up to 125 million of young whitefish from fish eggs annually.

BRIEF CHARACTERISTICS OF FISH HATCHERY Upon meeting project capacity, the hatchery will bring 125 million units of viable whitefish larvae per year, up to 0.4 g, of which: - whitefish 40 million units; - peled 85 million units; - larvae up to 3.0 g 30 million units; - yearling up to 20 g 1 million units; - create own broodstock in the amount of 20 thousand samples in proportion 1:1, of which: peled -10 thous. samples; whitefish -10 thous. samples. and create replacement stock and broodstock of producers 50 %

Implementation of investment project will: - create 43 additional jobs; • save and increase the stock of peled up to 290 thous. units per year, stock of whitefish: up to 180 thous. units; - increase the catch of peled up to 170 t, of whitefish up to 100 t; - develop commodity, including pasture fishery, which will allow for the catch of peled to increase by extra 100-150 t; - in perspective, provide the opportunity for young Coregonus nasus and nelma fish-growing.
