Story West Side Story is an American musical inspired by William Shakespeare's play Romeo and Juliet .The musical explores the rivalry between the Jets and the Sharks, two teenage street gangs of different ethnic backgrounds. The members of the Sharks from Puerto Rico are taunted by the Jets, another street gang.

  4. Tony and Maria Tony was an ex leader of the Jets, Maria was the sister of Bernardo, the leader of the Sharks; but they were madly in love.

  5. Bernardo and Anita Bernardo was Maria’s brother , he was protective, jealous with her. He hated Tony because he was an ex leader of Jets. Anita wasMaria's older friend and she was Bernardo's girl.

  6. Riff and Chino Riff Chino Chino loved Maria and he was Bernardo’s friend. Riff was the leader of Jets and he was the best friend of Tony .
