  11. History • The SatRep method first applied in the 1980s at the Austrian Meteorological Institute (ZAMG, Dr. Veronika Zwatz-Meise).

  12. History • The SatRep method first applied in the 1980s at the Austrian Meteorological Institute (ZAMG, Dr. Veronika Zwatz-Meise). • Further development with the cooperation of EUMETSAT and the Dutch (KNMI) and Finnish Meteorological Institute (FMI).

  13. SATREP today • Operational SatRep: • International SATREP developed every 6 hours by the 3 NMSs: FMI, KNMI and ZAMG): • Cloud systems over Europe and the Atlantic named and described
