First Coaches Education(CE) event organized (1994) • Coaches committee founded (1998) • Establishing the system of education (1999-2002) • More than 180 educated coaches in over 10 courses, three Level 1 tutors and one Level 2 tutor • ITF Book translation (STI manual, Old Level 1, Developing young tennis players and Being a Better Tennis Parent) • Around 70 educated coaches working at the moment • Competencies based education (2014) Until now

Board of Macedonian Tennis Federation (9-11 peoples - sponsors, club owners and peoples from tennis) • Coaching committee (President/director and two members) • President/director of education (person with high education also tutor for the courses) • Coaches and tutors (all educated coaches and tutors more that 180 at the moment) Structure

Being independent in most of the educational programs • Great support from the ITF in most of the projects • Present country government that support sport and development programs • Sport law that gives us possibilities for education and license recognition on national level(From the law of sport: “Sport pro’s” are persons that have at least high education in the filed of sport or license from the International sport federation) Strengths

Weak economical situation in the country that can influent further sport development • Very passive Faculty of physical education in tennis coaches education (tennis as subject is under recreation) • Coaches and clubs that doesn't believe in license scheme • Not recognized education at national level (government unsupported at the moment) Weaknesses

Governmental support for coaches education programs and licensing recognition • Possibility for coaches education recognition in the ITF (bronze) and providing the certificates that will be accepted by the Macedonian government • Possibility to receive further support from the ITF in coaches education programs • Possibility to translate most of the books for coaches education Opportunities

Due of being governmental institution, Faculty of physical education can block the licensing recognition and try to protect the education that they have/don't have • Government can follow the present situation and suspend the education recognition • Board of the federation that can stop the program due the lack of finances • ITF will not recognize coaches education of Macedonia Threats

  15. Modifying the system of education in MTF according to the ITF Syllabus • Translation of most of the books and materials that can be used in coaches education • Developing the competencies based education • Determinate propaganda for License recognition in Macedonia • Preparing of all the issues for coaches education recognition in the ITF Way forward
