Photos as Art Lily Wiser 2013
Balance I chose this photo because the two urns on the side balance out the pyramid and the mummy.
Simplicity I chose this photo because the simple sand looking tile allows you to focus on the mummy.
Lines I chose this photo for lines because the brush and the wood carved lines on the table make lines and a background fro the mummy and sarcophagus.
Rule of Thirds This photo was chosen for rule of thirds because the mummy is leaning against the pyramid in the lower right cross section.
Framing The urn is being surrounded by the four sides of the pyramid allowing the urn to be framed.
Extreme Close Up This shot was chosen for extreme close up because of how close I got to the pyramid allowing you to see the hieroglyphics on the side.
Lighting I chose the photo for lighting because the natural light is bringing out the border and ridges of the pyramid.
Color I chose this photo for color because the urns are resting on the sandy looking window sill and the white and clear-ish curtain is making a background.
Black and White This photo is my black and white photo because the ridges in the chair to me represented the ripples in The Nile River.
Editing Technique I chose this photo to edit because instead of black and white I changed it to gray scale that way it looked like a snapshot.
