4)The agent handling the distribution of the gift must be proven trustworthy (2 Cor. 8:16-24) 5) You must sow bountifully to order to reap bountifully (2 Cor. 9:6) 6) You are to give what you want freely (not grudgingly or of necessity) and joyfully (2 Cor. 9:7)
The harvest reaped includes: A) An abundance for good deeds (2 Corinthians 9:8) B) A source of thanksgiving to God (2 Corinthians 9:11,12) C) Causing others to glorify God (2 Corinthians 9:13) D) Stimulating others to pray (2 Corinthians 9:14)
Giving is simply a reflection of your heart. It reveals: Your love of God vs. love of the world Whose kingdom you are seeking Your level of trust & dependence on God You sensitivity & obedience to the prompting of the Holy Spirit? You will never handle anything less significant than money – nor more revealing of your heart

New Testament ExampleMark 12:41-44 Matthew 6:2 – giving practice of hypocrites The poor widow put in two mites - vs. 42 Jesus commended her - vs. 43, 44 It is not the amount, but the attitude of the heart.
