  2. What is Multimedia? • Multimedia can be defined as a combination of Video, Text, Graphics, Animation, and Audio all combined into one medium.

  3. Video • Video is a recording containing both visual and audio components, found in movies and television. • An example can be seen by clicking the link below. • Some common video editing software are Adobe Aftereffects and Premiere. Video

  4. Text • Text is a series of numbers, letters and symbols used in multimedia to deliver a message. • What you see on the screen now is an example of text • Some pieces of software used to manipulate text are Microsoft Word, Google Docs, and Openoffice Writer.

  5. Graphics • Graphics are visual presentations often generated by a computer. • Examples of graphics are the clip art found in the Microsoft Office Suite.

  6. Animation • Animations can be defined as making objects or images appear to be in motion or life like. • Some examples can be seen on screen • Adobe Flash is one of the most popular programs for animation.

  7. Audio • Audio can be defined as any type of sound used in a presentation of some sort. • You can hear examples of audio by clicking one of the icons above. • Some programs used to edit audio are Adobe Audition, Audacity, and Garageband.
