  2. Characteristics In the rainforest animals have to drink water from plants. In the rainforest as much two thirds of the land based animals in the world live there. The rainforest has a canopy, understory, and forest floor There are two kinds of rain forests, Tropical and Temperate. Both rainforests are in danger. Tropical rainforests are close to the Equator.

  3. Location • The rainforests are located in New Guinea, Southeast Asia, Central America, Madagascar, Africa, Australia

  4. Plant life • Trees are the largest rainforest plant. • The raffles is the largest tree found in the rainforest. • The Bromeline is a flower found in the rainforest.

  5. Animal Life • Monkeys swing through the canopy. • The fruit bat sucks juice from the fruit of the rainforest trees. • The sloth has very sharp claws that help the sloth climb. • The anaconda is one of the worlds largest snakes and is found in the rainforest ecosystem.
