  2. There are many techniques that are used to improve your artwork. 1) View– Draw ideas from observations, imagination, personal experience.... Give good difference to the use of art basics 2) Past or Inspiring Customs– Look at many art pieces to find cultural backgrounds. Recognize careers and different choices in art. 3) Reaction and Evaluation– Judge student’s artwork and your own.   3. Van Gogh was born in the year of 1853 in the Netherlands and died in 1890. Van Gogh had OVER 800 paintings. Van Gogh sold his artwork for 50 million dollars but wasn’t pretty rich. Although they were worth 50 million he only sold one of his paintings called, The Red Vineyard, for 350-400 Francs or $309.94. Another interesting thing is that Van Gogh cut off his own ear.   5. Eric Carle was born in Syracuse, New York; in the year of 1929. Eric Carle moved with his parents to Germany when he was still at a young age. Eric Carle wanted to fulfill his dreams in America. So he came back to America in 1952. Eric Carle had done great art and brought that back with him. He found a job very soon as a graphic designer. This job promoted him to the New York Times. Later on in his life Eric Carle became an art director for an advertising job. He stayed with that job for many years. One day Eric Carle and Bill Martin wrote a book together. Bill Martin wanted Eric Carle to illustrate the book. So they made a book called Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? It was a big hit. Eric Carle enjoyed writing for children and soon started writing his own books. Eric Carle’s first original book was 1, 2, 3 to the Zoo. The next book was The Very Hungry Caterpillar which was and still is his biggest hit. Eric Carle writes to make children happy and he likes to relate to them.
