  4. Videos are cheap… except in time On average, 1 minute of video takes 7 – 8 hours of work to complete.

  5. So should you make a video?

  6. Some golden rules • Know your message and your audience • The main point of a film is to show, not tell • Make films you would want to see

  7. Pre-production • Budget time • Get permission (not about quality but it’s worth mentioning)

  8. Production • Keep it properly lit • Keep it properly framed • Think about cutaways/b-roll • Sound matters

  10. Production: Sound • Sound matters (more?) • Get a good mic, place it well, listen to it

  11. Post-production • Edit: cut, cut, cut • Brand it & format it
