The Geography of Japan • Japan is mainly composed of four big islands─Hokkaidō (北海道), Honshū (本州), Shikoku (四國), and Kyushu (九州).

Famous food—Sashimi • Raw fishes that are cut into pieces
Famous food—Tempura • Tempura is a Japanese dish of seafood or vegetables that have been deep fried.
Famous food—Ramen • Origin: China • Often flavored with soy sauce or miso (味噌)

Dialogue (Act 1: Miss Chen introduces Joseph to students.) Miss Chen: Hello, class! Students: Hi, Miss Chen. Miss Chen: Okay, now, I’m going to introduce someone. This week, we are going to have an exchange student from Taiwan. Maybe, you can show him around the city during the weekend, okay? Students: Okay!
Dialogue Miss Chen: Good! Let’s welcome Joseph! (Applaud!)
Dialogue (Act 2: Lola and Joseph are chatting.) Joseph: Wow, it’s amazing. I see “real” Micky Mouse, Donald Duck, Cinderella, and Prince Charming! Also, the roller coaster is interesting and the show is so great! Lola: I’m glad that you enjoy everything in Disneyland. Joseph: Not only in Disneyland, the Shinto shrine is great, too!
Dialogue Lola: Hey, you should come here one more time in winter because in New Year, the Japanese will wear the kimono and go to the Shinto shrine. Joseph: Okay, it’s a deal! And next time, I want to eat Sashimi, Ramen, and Tempura, too! Lola: No problem!
Dialogue Joseph: I really have a good time in Japan. Hey, I have a good idea. How about taking a trip to Taiwan during the summer vacation? I can be your tour guide! Lola: It sounds great! Joseph: I can’t wait to meet you in Taiwan!!!
