  2. Definition What does it stand for ? • U > Undertaking for • C > Collective • I > Investment in • T > Transferable • S > Securities

  3. Definition : items • A portfolio of transferable securities managed by professionals and held collectively (as units or shares) by individuals or institutional investors. • Funds invest in a variety of financial instruments (equities, debt securities, etc.) in accordance with the investment regulations defined by the law.

  4. Definition : Principles • Investors acquire a stake in the transferable securities portfolio which constitutes the Fund. • This holding therefore represents a fraction of each transferable security held by the Fund. • No purchasing each financial instrument separately, and therefore having not to pay significant stock market fees • Fund’s units/shares be redeemed at any time for their net asset value.
