  2. Tuesday, May 21Today’s Objective: Today I will read and evaluate stories for interest and quality. I will vote for my favorites. • WU: Check JOV 20 CD • Finish your body map – no more class time available. HW: Images & Ideas due tomorrow & JOV Quiz 20 Friday

Wednesday, May 23Today’s Objective: Today I will select a topic for an essay, discuss with my peers, and complete a pre-writing page. • WU: Turn in Images & Ideas. • To Kill a Mockingbird essay prewriting. For Friday: Greek Day (morning – wait to be dismissed & find out what you will miss) and complete pre-writing in Google Classroom.

Thursday, May 23Today I will write a creative hook for a persuasive essay using one of the strategies I have previously been taught: metaphor or simile, personal anecdote, what it is not, an illustrative story, a surprising statement.. • Work on your persuasive essay. • Book Fair HW: JOV Quiz 20 tomorrow! Voting for Boehme Awards ends Saturday!

  5. Friday, May 24Today I will show what I have learned about figures of speech by taking a Joy of Vocabulary quiz. • WU: 5 minutes of JOV time • JOV Quiz 20 • Read and vote for the Boehme Awards. HW: Voting for Boehme Awards ends tomorrow! Tuesday is the last day to turn in missing work.
