PreparationsFriday 9/12 • Off-Campus students • COMPASS & Community students will stay at their off-campus home for testing • Highpoint will not be testing
PreparationsFriday, 9/12 • Go over these points with your 2nd period: • Explain reason for testing • To get an idea of their skill levels in various subject areas • This will help in creating appropriate lessons by the teachers • And allow the students to understand where they are with their skills Tell them that there will be make-ups for any missed portions of the test.
PreparationsFriday, 9/12 • Go over these points with your 2nd period: • Go over testing site roster • Review testing sites • Post list outside of door • Master lists will be posted in 100 hall and TJ’s Cafe • Review lunch procedures • Students will eat according to lunch schedule in the cafeteria • Afternoon classes • They will report to their B day classes after lunches are completed

Lunch DismissalMon & Tue 9/15 & 9/16 • Go over these points with your 2nd period: • Follow the attached Testing Schedule • Be cognizant of your time • Plan to BE in the café at your scheduled time • This means leaving your room before your scheduled time • BE there to pick up the kids at the end of their lunch
Teaching ScheduleMon 9/15 & 9/16 • Wednesday 9/17 • 2nd block ~ 12:55 – 2:25 • 4th block ~ 2:30 – 4:00 • Thursday 9/18 • 6th block ~ 12:55 – 2:25 • 8th block ~ 2:30 – 4:00 • Classes will only begin when the entire campus is finished testing. • Start testing on time! Be flexible...
breaks • You will get your break time during the teaching blocks sometime during the 2 day testing window. • Help each other out during the afternoons.
Restroom ProceduresFriday, 9/12 • Go over these points with your 2nd period: • Go to restroom BEFORE reporting to testing site. • They may go one at a time during testing with a pass. • They will sign in and be accounted for the # of times they leave the room. • Remember this is a timed test, students may only leave for the restroom when the entire class has finished a section. • Testing may not resume until the student returns. • Therefore going to the RR before testing become imperative.
PreparationsFriday, 9/12 • Go over these points with your 2nd period: • Bring your own • #2 pencils – no mechanical • Rdg. Counts book • No electronics • All cell phones, mp3 players, etc. will be collected • They will be stored in a locked closet during testing • This includes teachers everyone! every day!
Room PreparationsFriday, 9/12 • Prepare your room for testing • Uncover door window completely • Clear teacher desk • Check pencil sharpener status • Arrange desks • To avoid cheating • Facing away from door • Have pristinely clean “don’t cheat off me” folders ready

Test DayMon & Tue 9/15 & 16 6:30 AM • Absent Proctors • Alert the office of your absence • Your spot will be filled by a TRAINED elective teacher • Their spot will be filled by a paraprofessional • TAKE YOUR VITAMINS!
Test DayMon & Tue 9/15 & 16 7:30 AM • Come get your testing box in room 308 • Allow for time to wait in line and verify your materials. • Do this BEFORE you have duty that morning.
Test DayWed & Thurs 9/17 & 9/18 8:20 ~ 8:45 • Pre-testing • Be at your testing site door by 8:20 • Remind them to go to the RR now • Hall monitors • Use roster to move kids to site • Monitor RR and get kids moving through them • Check test site roster • Attendance • Post on door or give to hall monitor by 8:45 UNLOCK YOUR DOOR!
Test DayWed & Thurs 9/17 & 9/18 9:00 – 12:55 • Tardy students • Comes in late but testing has NOT begun • Delivered to your room • Comes in late but testing has begun • Give them their testing supplies • Wait for the beginning of the next test • Let them begin the next test with the class • Write their name and the tests missed on the make-up list
Test DayTesting Environment • Hall monitors, KJ & RF will check for • door signs • Do not disturb • # still testing • Desks cleared of extraneous items • Designate a common place for purses, lunches, etc. • Post new hot pink sign • Computers turned off • Technology collected • Cell phone amnesty bag

Testing Hiccups9/17 & 9/18 9:00~12:55 • Behavior Problems • Administrators • Will be available in halls for interventions • If a student is removed from testing • Do not allow student to carry test • Hall monitor/admin will carry • Consequences • May be reassigned to LMC • May be sent home • Hallways • Do not put kids in halls for any reason! • Deal with Level 1 infractions in your room.
