Helpful tips • Keep personal info personal • Only talk to people you know • Go with your instincts • Choose safe usernames & passwords • Report anything suspicious or insulting
Sextortion • Form of sexual exploitation where people are extorted with a nude image of themselves they shared electronically. • Why kids sext? To impress a crush On a dare General peer pressure Peer pressure from an intimate partner Reciprocating a sext
Sexting • If you receive a sext - delete and let the sender know they can get in a lot of trouble. Report it. • Kids share sexts - 40% say they have had a sext passed to them 20% have passed a sext along
Cyberally • Stand up for what is right! • Don’t become or be a bystander. • If you see it, you’re part of it. • Don’t ignore it!
