Hebrews 12:14 • Strive for peace with everyone, and for the holiness without which no one will see the Lord • Holiness is easy to read past • Defined as consecration, purification • Eph. 5:25ff, Christ has a plan • Eph. 1:4, God has a purpose
Ezekiel 20:7-8 • And I said to them, Cast away the detestable things your eyes feast on, every one of you, and do not defile yourselves with the idols of Egypt; I am the LORD your God. 8 But they rebelled against me and were not willing to listen to me. None of them cast away the detestable things their eyes feasted on, nor did they forsake the idols of Egypt.

First thing Israel did was to build the Tabernacle • Exodus 40:34ff, The place where God showed His glory • Numbers 2-3, Levites set to guard God’s glory • Numbers 3:38, Those who were to camp before the tabernacle on the east, before the tent of meeting toward the sunrise, were Moses and Aaron and his sons, guarding the sanctuary itself, to protect the people of Israel. And any outsider who came near was to be put to death.
We start with deliverance also • Leaving sin behind • We approach the throne • With thanksgiving • With singing • With praise • With remembrance • To learn of Him
