    10. Things to do #1 Understand the importance and value to your customer of combining multiple products each and every sale Go to the taguhealth.com Click on “On Demand Resources” Click on “Sales and Presentation Materials” Then open and read the “New Multiple Sales Article” by JR Jordan.

    11. Things to do #2 Call your manager and ask which 2 health products you will focus on in your sales area. (just start with 2) You have contracted with multiple companies but to get started quickly we only focus on two that will cover most situations.

    12. Things to do #3 Download and read 4 brochures: The 2 health insurance products mentioned above, Plus: Colorado Bankers Critical Illness brochure. “The Answer Plan” by American National. Go to taguhealth.com Click on Health Product Brochures Click on the Company

    13. Things to do #4 Start your Product Training: Go to the taguhealth.com Click on “On Demand Resources” Click on the Company Stick to the 2 companies that you and your manager talked about plus the Critical Illness and Accident products.

    14. Things to do #5 Learn to use the quoting links: Ask your manager to send you the quoting links so that you can practice creating quotes. This should only take an hour to become proficient. It is essential that you know how to create a quote before your manager starts the lead program. Also let your manager know where you are in the training and agree on when you will begin calling prospects. At this point you are within a day or so of calling.

    15. Things to do #6 Sales Training: Go to the taguhealth.com Click on “On Demand Resources” Click on “Sales and Presentation Materials” Download and print “New Agent Jump Start Manual” and watch the “New Agent Jump Start Video”

    16. Things to do #7 Get your lead program in place: Call your manager and discuss the aged leads and the dialer (this is really essential, see info coming in a few slides). Never rely on just one lead source, you should be using multiple methods to grow your business. Talk to your manager about the $12 telemarketed leads, take one boxes and self generated leads. See “Lead Sources” below for more details

    17. Things to do #8 Start Calling Prospects: Just do it! There are many reasons not to start but none of them will help you or your clients. Remember the first call begins a conversation that allows you to find out what the person wants, needs and can afford. Once you know the clients situation run some quotes and call your manager to discuss the right solution. Remember you are in business for yourself but not by yourself!

    18. Things to do #9 Commit to Excellence: Commit to attending the live trainings, immerse yourself in the business, find out what is working and not working for others. Proceed to the taguhealth.com and listen to 3 online trainings a week until you have listened to them all!

    19. Lead Sources Aged Leads – these you obtain from your manager. These should be used with a dialer, the dialer is simple and increases your productivity by a factor of 4. Ask your manager to help you create a plan using multiple proven methods that will help you create a consistent stream of new prospects.

    21. Monitor Your Appointments Check the status of your appointments on the TAG Portal. You have just signed in and should be on INFO CENTRAL on the MY DASHBOARD TAB Select the My Account tab (upper right area) Select Appointments tab (middle right) You should be looking at all the companies and your status Pending Documents = just got your documents or waiting for a document from you Pending Carrier Approval = The carrier has your documents and is processing Active = means you have a writing number (far right) and are ready to write business   Contracting questions?     22. Non Resident Licenses If you are selling by Phone or Online, now is the time to get non resident licenses. They make take up to 3 weeks to receive so the sooner you start the better. Discuss which states and products you’d like to sell as a Non resident producer with your Manager. An easy source for non resident licenses is www.nipr.com, then click electronic non resident license and begin process.

    23. Call your manager for assistance Your manager is an important resource. Use him/her, they are there for you, don’t wait for them to call you and ask you if you need help. The primary way they help you is to assist you in determining the right product for your client and to help you implement a proven strategy. The agents who reap the greatest rewards are the agents that make the calls and take the time to attend the live training sessions, learn the products and listen to the sales trainings. Top earners never stop learning or striving to improve!
