Progress To Date - Wave • Earliest technologies date back to mid 70’s in UK • 2004 EMEC opens wave test facility • Pelamis Wave Power • 1st grid connected device 2004 • 1st commercial demonstrator 2008 • Near shore or shoreline devices • Limpet connected to grid in 2000 • 2004 near shore device tested at EMEC • RAB report on progress 2007 • 2008/9 a number of prototype devices will be open sea tested
