BTEI offers part time opportunities to young people and adults to return to learning Provides opportunities for those in the workplace to update their skills Mornings, afternoons, evenings or weekend sessions Courses take place throughout the county FREE to anyone who has not completed the full Leaving Certificate Back to Education Initiative Learning part-time • Courses include • Computer skills • Beginners, Intermediate • ECDL • PC Maintenance • Basic Office Skills • Care Skills • Healthcare • Childcare • Special Needs • English, Irish, Maths • Junior Cert , Leaving Cert • Art • New courses are added at regular intervals

Basic Skills Education Meath VEC has a county-wide network offering a range of supports to adults improving their reading, writing, spelling and numeracy skills. • New short intensive courses (14 weeks) • Weekdays, weekends or evenings (depending on demand) • Group sizes are limited to eight Courses include: • · Communications • · Computer Skills • · Mathematics • · Personal and Interpersonal Skills • · Personal Effectiveness • · Preparation for Work • · Work Orientation • · Office Procedures • · Consumer Awareness • · Living in a Diverse Society • · Video Expression • · Caring for Children • · Child Development and Play

The Adult Education Service provides a wide range of learning opportunities for adults Computers & Technology, Languages, Hobbies and Leisure, Health, Fitness and Sport, Personal Development, Professional Development Courses take place usually one evening per week for 2 to 3 hours in duration Information and enrolment evenings are held in September and January Centres: Navan (2 centres), Dunshaughlin, Dunboyne, Nobber, Longwood, Oldcastle, Rath Chairn, Bettystown Adult Education
