EFRTC General Assembly Brussels Present Situation Railway Infrastructure Administration (SZDC): • fulfils the function of the railway infrastructure owner • is responsible for the rail operation • Before 1.7.2008 SZDC had no capacities of its own to be able to provide the rail operation, now the situation has changed Non-discriminatory access for each operator is needed since 1.7.2008, the railway system has been more transparent 28th November 2008, Brussels
Transfer of Activities from CD to SZDC: 1. 7. 2008 EFRTC General Assembly Brussels Organizational units to pass over to SŽDC: Regional Infrastructure Departments 13 regional centres They provide administration, control, supervision and maintenance of the railway infrastructure Railway Geodesy Centres 2in Prague and Pilsen They provide geodesy function - uniform railway map, geometric position of rails, railway property Railway Energetics provides administration, supervision and control over the electric distribution network and service for all carriers Technical Central Office provides diagnostics of lines, uniformity of facilities on the railway infrastructure Fire Service Fire and rescue service is a part of the integrated rescue system in CR.
