Agronomic Systems • Grade: 10th, 11th, or 12th • Year long course • 1 elective credit • Can receive Zane State college credit • Topic covered: • Soils • Natural resources • Agricultural crops • Plant science & production • Plant nutrients & growth • Business & communication • FFA membership required

  4. Animal Science • Grade: 10th, 11th, or 12th • Year long course • 1 elective credit • Can receive Zane State college credit • Topic covered: • Animal nutrition • Animal health • Animal reproduction & genetics • Animal anatomy • Communication & business skills • FFA membership required

  5. Natural Resources • Grade: 10th, 11th, 12th • Year long course • 1 elective credit • Topics covered: • Wildlife & fish • Forestry • Soils • Renewable and non-renewable resources • Air & water quality • FFA membership required

  6. Science & Technology of Food • Grade: 10th, 11th, or 12th • Year long course • 1 elective credit • Topic covered: • Food preservation • Food sensory • Food safety • Food regulations • Food product development • FFA membership required

  7. Veterinary Science • Grade: 11thor 12th • Year long course • 1 elective credit • Topic covered: • Diseases • Laboratory techniques • Vet office techniques • Pharmacology • Breeding programs • FFA membership required

Agricultural & Environmental Systems Capstone • Grade: 12th only • Must be enrolled in another agriculture course also • Must have a job or be able to obtain one • Must work a minimum of 450 hours by the end of the year to receive credit • Will be evaluated at work and responsible for keeping records on hours worked and earnings • FFA membership required
