  3. IT Infrastructure • Virtual everything! VMWare, Storage, network etc • Windows 2003 / 2008 • Linux (RHL), Solaris • Stretch clusters across 2 rooms • Remote DR Centre c. 25 miles north • SAN / NAS / Atmos storage infrastructure • Windows PCs, Apple Macs, Linux…

  4. Unified Communications, 2007 • Mitel telephony platform • IM/Microsoft LCS – optional, low use • Public IM with a secure boundary gateway • began planning telephony replacement, due 2013 • Reviewed the future for “UC” not telephony • Conclusion: UC a key technology development
