  8. Hear from Other Parents "Our daughter has blossomed as a result of her foreign language experiences. Jenny started her study of Mandarin in a Virginia school system, traveled to Shanghai as part of the National Security Language Initiative for Youth, and has for the past two years studied Mandarin through Virtual Virginia. Virtual Virginia works extremely well for Jenny. She has a close connection with her teacher. Her language skills are improving rapidly and at a pace that she can support. Virtual Virginia is a terrific program!“ Jade Gong,Virtual Virginia Parent "The impact that Virtual Virginia's classes and faculty members made on my son and his college experience is one that can be measured in much more than knowledge gained and credits earned. The program encourages independent learning and thinking, skills that will be needed in college and in the workplace. On a personal level, my son continues to maintain strong ties with Virtual Virginia whose teachers have become a second family to him.“ Christine Collins,Virtual Virginia Parent
