ALGEBRAIC Project Description • Partnership between: • Lake Elsinore Unified School District • Temecula Valley Unified School District • San Diego State University – CRMSE
ALGEBRAIC Project Description • Project consists of: • 40 hour summer training (intensive) • Two rounds of Lesson Study during the school year • Grade level specific content & research lesson planning day • Lesson taught, debriefed, revised, and cycle repeated • Participate with another group’s lesson • Follow up time • Share Out Session/Celebration
Online Resources • Moodle – SDSU’s Professional Development Collaborative (PDC) • WordPress – follow-up lesson study activities, including teacher-developed lesson plans, videos of research lessons, and teacher discussion boards • Wiki – information sharing, including details of upcoming project events.
SDSU PDC Site • Contents of the site: • videos of complete summer training • materials used for summer training • teacher response opportunities or requirements

Word Press Site for Lesson Study Videos • Purpose of the site: • Supports the follow up learning portion of the grant • Improving Teacher Content Knowledge • Teacher Pedagogical Content Knowledge • Provides opportunities for continued collaboration to foster sustainability • Opportunities for use for local evaluation • Supports collaboration between LEA’s and IHE
Word Press Site for Lesson Study Videos • Uses of the site: • Part of the make up opportunities for the lesson study portion • Review lessons given and the decisions made in the process of reflecting on the lesson results • Opportunities to learn from others experiences • Build on activities that might be useful teaching tools • Opportunities for teacher collaboration • Provides video clips for SDSU to enhance some of their classes • Local evaluator can use information from the site
