Community Engagement ResourceAIMS • Enhance the quality of population and community-based research ongoing at CUMC • Facilitate the integration of a community-based provider network into the clinical and translational (C/T) research agenda of the IICTR • Effectively communicate with the community in order to foster research of mutual benefit to both university and community.

COMMUNITY RESOURCE CENTER • gateway between CUMC researchers and the community. • bilingual access to medical information with emphasis on CUMC-directed research. • Community setting for educational lectures; host Advisory Board meetings; research updates & activities (focus groups). • Health Care students could intern • community members could be trained as lay medical educators • Patient/participant satisfaction surveys • Annual research informational days
