  1. France’s got talent winners Two 8-year-olds won “France’s got talent 2010”. The evening of 22 December was the end of suspense for the twelve finalists of La France a un Incroyable Talent’sfifth season on M6. Axel and Alizée bluffed the viewers and earned the EUR 100,000 prize. Up to 4.6 million viewers tuned in. With this result, M6 was the second most watched channel in France. 3,000 candidates from all parts of France had applied for the 2010 contest and 140 were preselected to perform in front of the jury. Even before the artists started to perform, participants were told that some will leave with their heart broken. The first team to perform last night was Axel and Alizée, two children whose common passion is dancing. After their performance, the members of the jury expressed how the youngest finalists moved them: “We haven’t seen anything like that since Michael Jackson. You will remain in our hearts for a long time.” The producers of the contest announced that the show would run another season next year with the same jury. Candidates may already apply on M6.fr. 23 December 2010 – M6 / FremantleMedia France. France Cycle 3. 5th Grade. Unit 2B Product: Illustrated notes for a mural paper.

  2. VAMPIRE BATS When we think of bats, the Vampire Bat is one of the first to come to mind.  Vampire bats eat cow, horse and other large mammals’ blood. They eat the blood at night. Bats live in most parts of the world (forests, deserts, jungles and cities). Not all the bats eat blood. Most of them eat fruits, insects or small animals like frogs and fish. They are “nocturnal”, they hunt at night when the other animals are sleeping! http://www.kidzone.ws/animals/bats/facts3.htm Cycle 3. 5th grade. Unit 2B Illustrated notes for a mural paper
