  1. Crisis in Egypt

  2. Riots and protestors • Many of the protestors have gotten very out of hand in Egypt • Demonstrators have been protestingPresident Hosni Mubarak's for many weeks • Protestors and police have both been killed on multiple accounts dues to riots getting out of hand • At one point, demonstrators attacked a water cannon truck, opening the driver's door and forcing the man out of the vehicle. As protesters hurled rocks and dragged metal barricades, officers beat them back with batons.

  3. effects on global community • Gas cost are largely increasing because egypt was a major supplier to Asia and due to there supply being cut short they had to resort to Canada so there for supply and demand went up. Gas prices have risen about 22 cents due to this issue. • People are worried about traveling and then economy of Egypt is going to largely decrease due to the scarce amount of tourist

  4. Technology in action • One way technology could have an effect on this global problem is to create a wiki space page and make it public. If it got enough supporters

  5. SHort term and long term goals • A short term goal of this project is to get enough supporters to make a difference in the realm of violent protesting. • Another goal is that I can make others feel as strongly about this subject as I do and because of that want to try to make a difference in a problem like I am • In the long term I hope to help bring an end to the protesting in Egypt • In addition I hope to set a trend so that others can create pages like this to end global problems

  6. VIdeo about the riots
