Super Tertiary Centre • Total DF + DHF patients 790 cases • DSS 12.8% • DHF grade III 12.4% • DHF Grade IV 0.4% • (Others 393 cases – 33.2%) • Referral Centre • Referred 104 cases (13.2%) • Death 5 cases (4.8%) Training Centre • International • 2 International course with 24 participants • 6short visits with 56 doctors, 4 nurses and 15 others HCW • National • Death cases conferences – 14timeswith 300 doctors, 1,772 nurses, other 517 (Total 2,589 person) • 12 short visitswith 103 nurses • No DHF strengthening case management – no budget

Research Centre • Collaborative studies with AFRIMS & University of Massachusetts (USA) • Prospective dengue study IV (since 1991) • Follow up study of dengue III • Serotypes study • NS1 Ag – funded from WHO • 6 published papers in international journals • Presented 2 papers in international meeting and 1 in national meeting • Reference Centre • International: • WHO Roster of Expert on acute febrile illness especially dengue(12 members from all over the world) • WHO Temporary advisor3time (Bhutan, Cape Verde X 2) • Invited speakers 3 times (Venezuela, Philippines, Brazil and Panama) WHO Advisory Group of Independent Experts to Review the Smallpox Researches (AGIES) • National: • CDC member of vector-borne disease committee • Invited speakers 14 times • Hotlines DHF: • MD line – 598 callswith 285 cases consulted (saved lives 95.8%) • Nurse line– 385 calls(167 from nurses and 218 from general population)

Networking • International: • Members of Global Outbreak Alert and Response Network (GOARN) • National: • 6 hospitals: Lumpang H, Sawanpracharak H, Konkaen Referal H, Sappasittiprasong H, Maharat Nakornsritammarat H and Chonburi H) • Organized 1 network meetings: NakornSritammarat) Policy Advocacy • Representative from DMS responsible for: “the MOPH KPI of Dengue CFR < 0.13%”Dengue CFR 2009 = 0.09% • Leader of the MOPH for dengue case management guidelines

DHF COE – Summary of BPFC • Structure – independent • Personnel – • Increase number of doctors, nurses • Training - ICU care, Hemodialysis & PD care,…for nurses • Process - Semi – ICU development • ICU equipments: ventilators, monitors • Training for doctors, nurses, HCWs and HCVs (responsible for MOPH KPI – Dengue CFR < 0.13%) • Technology - ? • Budget - !!!

  8. งบประมาณ งบประมาณจากกรมการแพทย์ • ศูนย์ Excellent Center ด้านไข้เลือดออก ได้จัดทำแผนแม่บทของศูนย์ฯ ระยะเวลาปี 2549 – 2552 มีคำขอตั้งงบลงทุนครุภัณฑ์ทางการแพทย์จำนวน 7 รายการ วงเงินรวม 23,600,000 บาท โดยได้แบ่งการจัดทำคำของบประมาณในปี 2549 – 2551 จำนวนปีละ 1 รายการ ซึ่งไม่เคยได้รับงบประมาณสนับสนุน • ปี 2552 – ได้รับงบประมาณ 950,000.00 บาท (จำนวนที่ขอ 4,618,460.00 บาท) • ปี 2553 - ได้รับงบประมาณ 700,000.00 บาท(จำนวนที่ขอสำหรับดำเนินการ 3โครงการ 4,454,090.00 บาท) • ได้รับอนุมัติ 2โครงการเป็นจำนวนเงิน 1,032,120.00 บาท) • การดำเนินการ ดำเนินการด้วยเงินบำรุงสถาบันสุขภาพเด็กแห่งชาติมหาราชินี สำหรับโครงการอบรมต่างๆเป็นส่วนใหญ่ ปี 2553 – ของบประมาณ DHF COE25,684,940.00บาท (รวมงบลงทุนและครุภัณฑ์)
