  2. Preschool • 19 Units (15 ½ are unit funded by ODE) • 7 in Pike County • 12 in Ross County • 8 x 8 models constitute Early Childhood setting • 8 Children with IEPs • 8 Typicals • 8 x 4 models constitute Early Childhood Special Ed. setting • 8 children with IEPS • 4 Typicals

  3. Pike County • 5 Center-Based Units • Eastern Local – one unit • Scioto Valley Local – two units • Waverly City – one unit • Western Local – one unit • 2 Itinerant Service Units • Serve Head Start, Homes, ECE classes, other child care centers and other preschools, as needed.

Ross County • 10 Center-Based Units • Chillicothe City – 3 units • Huntington Local – 1 unit • Southeastern Local – 2 units • Union-Scioto Local – 2 units • Zane Trace Local – 2 units • 2 Itinerant Service Units • Adena, Chillicothe, Paint Valley & Unioto preschools • Serve Head Start, Homes, ECE classes, other child care centers, as needed.

  5. Related Services • 3 Speech Therapists & 1 student SLP * • 1 Occupational Therapist * • 1 Physical Therapist * • 1 Occupational Therapist Assistant * • All licensed and certified. *In Pike County the RPESD related service personnel serve the DD preschool population.

  6. Referrals • We receive referrals from many sources: • Parents • Head Start • Help Me Grow • Preschools • Day Care Centers • Doctors • Any other agency working with children.

  7. Referrals • Referrals 2009-2010 school year • 70 Pike County • 105 Ross County • Referrals 2010-2011 school year • 80 Pike County • 90 Ross County • Referrals 2011-2012 school year (January 16, 2012) • 53 Pike County • 104 Ross County

  8. Students Served • Approximately 220 children on IEPs • Approximately 110 typical children

  9. Preschool We offer early childhood/special education classes across the continuim.
