  2. PROBLEM/BACKGROUND

  3. More than ¼th of Pakistan’s population comprises of youth. • 60+ percent resides in rural areas.It is a vital and vibrant human resource of the country.

  4. The current century • Computers in particular, have revolutionized our lives. • Realizing the importance of education, ICT exposure, awarenes to rural and slum dwelling young people.

  5. PROPOSED SOLUTION

  6. An economic and cost effective way to create awareness and social messaging to economically dis-enfranchised youth. • To reach remote and distant areas without such facilities(ICT) at their door-step.

  7. Differentiation

  8. IMPLEMENTATION Under developed/rural areas will be identified which are without ICT infrastructure (where Project Vehicle/van could easily reach the surroundings of Rawalpindi/Islamabad and some rural areas Target group: Youth and teachers of under-developed areas.

  9. Institutions/Schools, Civil Society, local NGOs, Government and semi govt. organizations, other community based/working bodies.

  10. This is pilot project will be initially for six months which can be further extended based on the evaluation of the project. • Funding; started by mutual collaboration with NGO/NPO sector Govt. Funding Agencies and through International funding agencies by submitting a proposals. • Budget 3 million

  11. NEXT PHASE • Stitching/Knitting • Auto-mobile workshop (car/bike tuning, oil change basic operations), Service Station-Wash/Service etc. • Web-Development design • An e-learning and test system will be introduced, trained youth can apply online to will go through a test to get a certificate etc. A database of the institutions/areas and trainees will be maintained for future collaboration.

HONORS/AWARDS Served with large number of National and International awards • Nishan-e-Imtiaz from Government of Pakistan 1989. • Human Rights Award by Pakistan Human Rights Society. • Shield of Honour by Pakistan Army. • Life Time Achievement Award by the World Memon Organization (WMO). • Pakistan Civic Award 1992 - by Pakistan Civic Society and many more.
