  2. Description of Planet Uranus is the only giant planet whose equator nearly has a right angle to its orbit. A collision course with an earth sized object would probably explain Uranus unique tilt. Almost a twin in size of Neptune. Uranus atmosphere is made of methane gas, hydrogen and helium. Uranus has 27 moons. The temperature is 37 f Or 57k. Uranus has 13 rings. Uranus also takes 84 earth years to complete one orbit. Uranus is made up of rocks and ice and has a large rocky core.

  3. Distance and Size Uranus is 2871 million kilometers or 1784 million miles away from the Sun. Also Uranus is 14.6 times bigger than the Earth

  4. Days and Years The length of a day on Uranus is 17.23992 hours long. The length of a year on Uranus is 30.68715 Earth days long

  5. Facts and Information Uranus was discovered in 1781 by an astronomer named William Herschel. Uranus is the seventh planet from the Sun. Also Uranus is one of the two ice giants of our solar system. Uranus gets its blue green color from the methane gas in its atmosphere. Uranus was the first Planet discovered by a telescope.
